Primary focus
The lab was commissioned to optimise our process for producing high-quality SAF, focusing on catalyst selection, synthesis gas composition, and reaction optimisation.
We use state-of-the-art tools and techniques to crack the key challenges of energy efficiency in fuel production. Our ambitious research & development programme aims to validate our process models and enhance the design of a full-scale commercial process, leveraging AI and machine learning for greater efficiency.
Situated within a historic research park in Cheshire, the lab benefits from proximity to the UK’s established petrochemical industry along the Mersey estuary, facilitating collaboration and resource sharing. The facility has a rich legacy of chemical research, engineering, and fuel innovation.
